Name: Polly (also lovingly called Pol, Polski, or Liefste)
Age: Approximately 2 years old
Breed: Terrier mix
Height: 40 cm from shoulder to paw, with a long, almost dachshund-like body (about 15 kg)
Rescue: Yes, from Turkey through Melez Dog Rescue

And Polly is our founder's pooch!

Why did you choose this dog?
“It was tough to choose because I wanted to adopt them all! The situation for street dogs in Turkey is bad, and many of them are unfortunately put down. But Polly has the sweetest eyes and seemed great with kids, which was a must!”

Was it a nerve-wracking experience?
“No, I completely trusted the process. At one point, I did feel nervous, especially with Joes involved, but those nerves quickly faded. It's been amazing—Polly and Joes are inseparable!”

What’s her favorite toy?
“Polly loves playing with my son’s shoes! She’s always picking them up to play with.”

What’s her favorite activity?
“Her favorite things to do are playing with Joes, chasing after Frenkie, and running around the farm at my mom’s place.”

How would you describe her personality?
“Polly is a bit shy at first, but once she feels safe, she becomes super playful. She’s sweet and a little cautious, but once she gets comfortable, she’s all energy and fun.”

Can you share something funny about your dog?
“Polly’s long body is unique and adorable, and her eyes are so expressive. She’s also a water lover—no matter how cold it is, she jumps right in! She’s definitely a little water rat.”
